Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to reply. (a) When we were handling this Question last time, two issues emerged and the Speaker directed me to go and find out. I was to find out whether those employees had lost their benefits during the negotiations. That is not true. The employees were reinstated and I have copies of the letters of reinstatement. They were reinstated to their respective departments without loss of benefits. I, hereby, table all the letters belonging to the employees.

Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, after the employees were reinstated, some of them were not comfortable and opted to resign. As we speak, seven cheques for seven employees have already been deposited to our labour office in Thika awaiting collection from the employees. So, any time those employees will appear in our labour office in Thika, they will be handed over their cheques for terminal dues.

If I can just read--- This is a letter from Superfoam Limited to employees and it reads:- “RE: REINSTATEMENT Following the reconciliation meeting held at Thika District Labour Office on 11th April 2012, you are, hereby, informed that you have been reinstated back to your positions as machine attendants in Tapage Department as per our earlier letter to you dated 1st November 2011effective 2nd May.” Then you go down to the last paragraph which reads:- “All other terms as per your letter of appointment dated 23rd August ...

Kabogo - as I have previously done to him--- He knows I have handled matters related to this constituency successfully. By Friday this week, he will be a very happy person with his affected people. The matter will be sorted out.
