  • 27 Oct 2015 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, I feel very sad when I look at local contractors who have been involved in the process from the beginning. For example, in Mwingi, the local contractors who have been investigating the prospects for coal mining in that area have been left far behind, simply because they do not have the resources and facilities. I feel very bad because these are the people who started the process but then here comes a giant investor. They have been left behind simply because they are not able to match the resources that are brought from abroad. I hope that ... view
  • 27 Aug 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker, for giving me one minute to contribute. I will use it very well. As we go for recess, it is important that we remember that most Committees have done their work but some have not. We should form an oversight committee to look into those Committees which do not deliver their reports on time. Finally, I would like to congratulate the Kenyan athletics team that is representing us in Beijing. I hope everybody will have a great recess. view

  • 25 Aug 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. Clearly, this is a graveyard shift. This is because in many occasions, it is observed that this time is not good time for many people. I salute the important people of this House, who make important decisions, resolutions and laws for this country. view
  • 25 Aug 2015 in National Assembly: Finally, I would like to support this Bill. If I were in the shoes of Hon. Duale, our Leader of the Majority Party, I would find it difficult to fit in them. He is doing a good job. The few Opposition Members of Parliament seated here right now are doing a good job. At least, they are here. view

  • 2 Jul 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I will make it very simple. Congratulations and hats off to our very able Chair, Hon. Amina Abdalla. Today, we are in a country where water is scarce even though it is in abundance. We have situations where we have rogue borehole drillers who drill boreholes hither and thither and end up spoiling the environment. This Bill brings an opportunity where we are able to streamline the process and bring water to everybody in a good way. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I support. view
