  • 24 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you hon. Deputy Speaker. I wish to support this Motion. While we look at the solid waste disposal, we should also look at e-waste because this is one of the biggest crises we are going to experience very soon. So, we must put a policy in place to see how we can dispose of electronic waste from the many gadgets that we are using now. Hon. • 3 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker. I also wish to support this Motion. From the previous contributions, you realize that we are always ill prepared to deal with disasters. One of the things we are not doing to prepare for is lack of awareness creation. We need also to educate our people to be able to understand how they can be prepared to move away from the disaster scenes. You realize that when something happens, say a building collapses, people rush there to see what has happened. It could even be an explosion. This is what causes a lot of deaths, ... view
  • 23 May 2013 in Senate: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. May I request very humbly that when such a document is tabled, because we are not many and we have enough staff here, that on a day of sitting like this, could they just distribute the document or attach it to the Order Paper of the day and give to every Senator? It makes it a lot easier. This will be in addition to having the documents in Room 105, of course. view
