Additionally, it will be in line with the Presidents goal to switch to 100 per cent renewable energy by 2030. Turkana, Marsabit, Garissa, Wajir and Mandera counties should be added to the grid. This would be done by working with IPPs. Lake Turkana Wind Power and Garissa Solar Power in collaboration with Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited (KETRACO) can provide power to these counties.   • 27 Oct 2022 in Senate: Finally, as we push for the reduction of the cost of power, as citizens, we have to be prudent in how we use it. When you walk into any facility, you can see the wastage. Regulations should be put in place requiring facilities to install motion sensors that can automatically switch power on when somebody enters a room and put it off when there is no activity. He should come and check on us and tell us how we are performing from out there when he comes around. He has built a name more than some of us despite us being older than him. People talk about him because he has built a name around himself. People see him as a beacon of hope and they want us to emulate him. view
