A State corporation - or a parastatal as we know it today - was designed to be a self-sustaining organisation. It was designed to contribute to the economy of this country and to the Exchequer. We made it very clear to the various agencies that we oversee, especially the parastatals, that we will not entertain further injection of public funds into their daily operation, unless it is a specific development project that has a higher multiplier effect on the economy of this country. view
