  • 20 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I am aware that many bridges were destroyed in the last heavy rains. I am currently taking an inventory of the above and we are addressing every part as priority may arise. With regard to the road as mentioned by hon. view
  • 20 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, there is no discrimination. The data will be so tabled. I did not carry the data today but if the hon. Member wants, I will table it as soon as possible. I also want to clarify that I have not talked about Kshs25 million for the rehabilitation of this road. view
  • 20 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I accept that it was an oversight that I did not carry that information but I will table it on Tuesday next week. view
  • 20 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I wanted to clarify something for the purpose of the message to be passed. I did not talk about Kshs25 million for the rehabilitation but I talked about a request of Kshs300 million from the Treasury. • 19 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the information I have from the Meteorological Department is that we expect a little bit more than average rain especial the Western Kenya and Mt. Kenya regions. We have not been told that it will be an ElNino but we expect anything. It is true that some areas may have their roads already with problems because of the rains we have now. We are going to release Kshs7 million to every constituency and we expect this will arbitrate most of these problems, but if need arises that we have to consider more funding, we will consider ... view
  • 19 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I said that maybe very few constituencies have received all their monies. I know there was a balance of about Kshs2 million and so if you have not yet received it in your constituency, expect it any time or check with the accounts; maybe it is already there. For now, it is true the Kshs7 million may not be available but what I have received today is Kshs1.47 billion from the Kenya Roads Board (KRB) and that is what I can only budget for. Let us expect that it will be of help. view
  • 19 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, indeed, I am not borrowing any leaf but telling you the truth that by December, you would have received those monies. view
  • 19 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg for the indulgence of the House. I was not able to pick the written answer this morning because of disarrangement of my schedule. I beg that I answer this Question in the afternoon. view
