I do accept your order, deferring the items on the Order Paper which I believe is so because there is no quorum in the House for us to go to division. I have not seen anywhere in the Standing Orders that we should defer voting because there is no quorum in the House. I would really like your guidance on this so that we can continue with our business of division in the House irrespective of whether there is quorum or not. view
  • 19 Nov 2015 in Senate: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I also wish to join my colleagues to express my sentiments regarding this cancer menace that we have in our country. I come from a county where throat cancer is a challenge. Being a medical professional, we have had to look at some of the likely associations with the cancer. We realised that in high altitude areas, the huts probably retain a lot of smoke and fuel wastage, coming out as ashes. That probably contributes to some of the cancer cases in high altitude areas.
