  • 15 Oct 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the money was given to the county council by KenGen. How did they use that money? They used part of that money, as county council, to buy those iron sheets. That is the way I understand it. view
  • 15 Oct 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, while I do not agree with the previous speaker, Mr. Ethuro, that the generating plant is in Turkana, they are trying to invade that area, but we gave it to them to graze their animals on; but they are now claiming the land. Now that they have taken that long, could it be concluded that the Government is sort of colluding with the criminals? What action have they taken so far against those people? Saying that no action has been taken is not good, because those people have suffered enough. view
  • 8 Oct 2008 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. The Minister is saying that it is the work of the police. Is it not the work of the Ministry to tell the police to arrest those people? view
  • 8 Oct 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, now that the Minister has agreed that the culprits are going to pay some interest, is it going to come together with this money? view

  • 6 Aug 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, my point of order does not concern the issue of water, because I think that it has been answered well. August 6, 2008 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES 2363 I also demanded a Ministerial Statement from the Minister for Regional Development Authorities--- view
  • 6 Aug 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, now that the Government has agreed that the Pokot community has not benefitted from that project even after losing their land, which is over 40 kilometres, what action will the Ministry take so that the Pokot could benefit? Secondly, when is the Government going to revert it back to KVDA, so that the Pokot can benefit? view
