But the answer to part “(i)” of the Question is not right. It is not true. This year, we have not had a planting season. So, nothing has been done there. I would like the Assistant Minister to ascertain that, that is not true. If he says that, that is true, how much money has been spent on that? What modalities has he put in place to cover the 187 hectares? view
• 9 Sep 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I said that I appreciate what the Ministry is doing, in my first question. However, the first part of the answer is not correct. This is an issue where the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. The Assistant Minister has said that there are Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) which have been involved in the re-afforestation exercise. I would like to say that, that is not true. • 3 Sep 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, that problem is not only in Samburu East. I think it is rampant in the country. I want to say that the position of a district commissioner is very high. There is a standard scheme of service. Could the Assistant Minister consider employing chiefs and assistant chiefs at the district level rather than the head office? That is because the Permanent Secretary is very busy with national security and other issues. view

Is it in order for the Member to refer to Jogoo House instead of referring specifically to the Ministry of Education or the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology? view

The appointment of Justice Ringera without the advice of the Advisory Committee and before the period of appointment is ripe, reminds me of what happened on 30th December, 2007, when the President was sworn in at night.
