The very purpose of devolution was to take services closer to the people by making sure that revenues that are collected are felt at the lowest level. We should see some level of transparency, accountability and verifiability of revenues collected by county governments. We are praying that by God’s grace, he will win the gubernatorial position in Mombasa County when time comes, because of his competence. We have gone through several audit reports of various parastatals. As my colleagues have rightly stated, we found out that there are some issues that are outstanding in all of them. There are issues to do with land, procurement and bureaucracies in terms of implementation of decisions that are made. view
