Mr. Speaker Sir, you need to guide Sen. Mwaruma. The next time he is lost, he should consult the Clerk-at-the-Table. He should find out from them what is happening and not interrupt Members who are speaking. I was saying that the Government should facilitate business, and not come up with unilateral decisions that affect the livelihoods of Kenyans without any reference to what The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. Constitution says. For example, I have just seen that today, the CS for Environment and Forestry extended the period on the moratorium on the ban of logging in our forests for another six months. Mr. Speaker Sir, you remember that the issue of how the decision was made, it was strongly criticized when we were in Naivasha meeting with the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA). It points out to the issue that Sen. Mutula Kilonzo Jnr. raised; the fact that the Government unilaterally makes decisions without regard to the Constitution and how it affects the lives of Kenyans. Mr. Speaker, ...

Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. The issue being raised by my colleague, Sen. Iman, is very important. In the last few weeks, we have seen various Government agencies trading blame over what should be regarded as a very serious issue of national security. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, the dangers on the lives of the people who were in that flight cannot be over-emphasized. That the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) was not prudent in executing its mandate, is not in question. However, what worries us more is that instead of giving a better explanation on the measures they intend to ...

I note with a lot of pride the work that has been done by the Committee on Justice, Legal Affairs and Human Rights Committee under the stewardship of my good friend, Sen. Cherargei. It was earlier observed that when this Committee was being formed, this side of the House had picked the youngest of the troops of legal minds to The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. lead that Committee. However, slightly close to two years that this Committee has been in existence, Sen. Cherargei has led it with great distinction and honor. This Committee has achieved tremendous things, including being listed before this House this afternoon. I congratulate him for that. That is testament that given a chance, the youth are the answer to the problems in this country. Secondly, there are two things that this Committee is handling that are of great national importance. The Chairperson spoke to it. I know that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Amendment Act is before this Committee. ...

It is good that the distinguished uncle to the Speaker is walking in and listening to me as I say this. Our party leaders and the people who are at the forefront of political parties need to put a voice to the challenges that the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) faces. These matters are squarely before this particular Committee. It is my sincere hope that this Committee will expedite this particular request and give the country direction. Finally, is to exert a point that I have mentioned each and every afternoon that I get an opportunity to speak in this ...

Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I want to support this Statement because it is a very important issue. Unfortunately, I have seen a lot of misinformation in the course of the debate. I thought it wise to perhaps keep quiet, listen and see as people are being informed and misinformed as well on the importance of these unmanned aircraft and the purpose they are meant to serve. I think the whole point on this debate is where the Government sits down and comes up with a blanket ban on an entire industry without thinking through a particular exercise. This is ...
