  • 31 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, Sir, my understanding of the regional parliament--- When I talk about regional parliament, I am thinking of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA). This is an assembly to which you send representatives of the people, elected to represent people in that capacity. I know that in jurisdictions that have a bicameral arrangement like our own--- Let me use the mother of the Commonwealth because we have always operated within the Commonwealth Parliamentary tradition. • 31 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: On a point of order, hon. Speaker. Actually it causes me a lot of pain to interrupt my senior brother who I respect so much. However, I believe he is not view
  • 31 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: On a point of order, hon. Speaker, Sir. This is not just a matter of husbands, wives and co-wives. This is a grave matter! The hon. • 24 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, in fact, I am so glad that the response to the request will come from the Chairperson of the Committee. As you can see, she has actually moved to the right side of history. So, I believe that there is going to be a very honest response. view
  • 24 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, in that response, the Chairlady should also clarify that the 8-4-4 System of Education is certainly not a failure. When I look around this House, I can see that it is packed with products of the 8-4-4 Education System, including her, who, certainly, does not look like a failure. So, that clarification should be part of her. When we talk about the 8-4-4 Education System, we are, certainly, not talking about failure. We are talking about very successful products, including many of us, hon. Members. Am I correct? view
