• 10 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I just want to inform the Chairperson of the Committee that the issue was not the Committee’s amendments. There is no fight. As a matter of fact, we had no issues whatsoever with what the Committee had recommended. It was actually declared that the only amendment that the Committee had recommended on the issue of Hajj should not be on the Order Paper. Other than that, we were supposed to harmonise with Hon. This is because the document that he is holding seems to be a different document. I am saying this with a lot of jurisdiction considering that he was also of the same opinion earlier on that when we were at Committee of the whole House debating Delegated Legislation issues. You will note that my amendments on the issue of Hajj came after the Committee proposed. I only said that there is no need for them to be the ones handling Hajj, and if anything at all, they should just license them.
