  • 2 Nov 2023 in Senate: Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to support this Petition. I agree with what most of the Senators have said. If we want to build affordable housing on Government land or any other land that the Government wants to use for affordable housing and there are people who have already built houses there, they should be given the first chance and first priority to buy those parcels of land, instead of demolishing their houses to put up affordable houses.
