  • 18 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: Ninachukua fursa hii kumpongeza mhe. Alistaafu akiwa maskini. Sitofurahia leo kuwaona wale ambao walijitolea mhanga kuhakikisha kwamba taifa la Kenya limepiga hatua kwenda mbele wamerudi ... view

  • 26 Mar 2014 in National Assembly: However, on that day I was promised a definite date of 17th March as the commencement time for the construction of the dams in my constituency. I visited the constituency last week and, unfortunately, nothing has been started. When are they starting the construction work? Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker. view

  • 12 Mar 2014 in National Assembly: Ahsante, Mhe.
  • 26 Feb 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, pursuant to Standing Order No.44(2)(c), I hereby request for a Statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Environment and Natural Resources concerning the construction of small dams and water pans under the National Water Harvesting and Storage Programme in various counties as published by the Ministry of Devolution and Planning. There were 45 counties included in the list of those benefiting from this programme, excluding Nairobi and Tana River counties. This is of concern, especially for Tana River County, which is part of the ASAL regions of this country. The county would greatly benefit from a ... view

  • 26 Feb 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, firstly, I am seeking your direction and guidance under Standing Order No.1. The dams are being done at the constituency and county levels. This House has no specific Committee which plays oversight role on the Ministry of Devolution and Planning. I have raised this issue with the Chairperson of the Procedure and House Rules Committee, but I have not got a response from him to-date. On this specific matter, water dams fall under the Ministry of Environment, Water and Natural Resource. Even though the programme is being funded by the Ministry of Devolution and Planning, there is no ... view
