• 10 Sep 2020 in National Assembly: as a former Vice-Chair of the Public Investments Committee (PIC) – has spoken about a valuation report of KQ. If you look at the audited accounts of 2019 of KAA, it is holding assets worth about Kshs1.3 trillion. That is the institution that we are seeking to merge with KQ, which is making losses and is bound to make further losses because of COVID-19. Without valuing KQ and not having a feasibility report that tells this country and all stakeholders how feasible this transaction is of KAA merging with a loss-making entity, KQ will gobble up financial assets and other ... view

Even as I rise to support the Procedural Motion, I wanted to raise something on a point of order in relation to Standing Order 141(2) that states as follows: "A Bill that has been published, read a First Time or in respect of which the Second Reading has not been concluded- (b) at the end of two consecutive Sessions of the same Parliament shall lapse at the end of the second Session and may be republished in the same or different form in accordance with Standing Order 114 (Introduction of Bills) in relation to money Bills". ... view

You have to do it from the clerk’s desk. He is doing a good job trying to enumerate what happened, but I just wanted to benefit. If you read through the Committee’s Report, you will notice, and he has gone to great length to explain how money was paid out, that after the death of the original owner, Mr. Samuels, even his children were deported from this country.
