I admit that the drought that is currently being experienced across the country is unprecedented. We have never faced this kind of situation for a very long time. In 1984, there was a serious drought. In Tiaty Constituency, the drought that can be equated with the current drought is that of 1957. Boreholes have also dried up because of high temperatures. These are very unpredictable situations. Something needs to be done. We need to come up with a comprehensive policy of dealing with droughts. I must thank the Government for sending two Ministers, the Minister for Water and Irrigation, Hon.
