  • 17 Mar 2016 in Senate: Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker. I need protection from the Chair. The Senator is harassing me. view
  • 8 Mar 2016 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, thank you for giving me this opportunity to contribute. I really commend Kenyans, especially in Malindi and Kericho, for being patient despite all the drama that we witnessed. I would like to remind the CORD side that it was a plus for the Jubilee Coalition in the Malindi by-elections compared to the 2013 elections. However, the time has come when we all need to keep an eye on the IEBC because of the complaints that we are getting. I am a victim of the IEBC misdeeds. It took me about six months to come to the Senate ... view
  • 8 Mar 2016 in Senate: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, taking cue from Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale’s point of order, you remember we passed The Persons with Disabilities (Amendment) Bill here. However, it is now more than a year since we passed it and we have not heard from the National Assembly. The other day we saw a similar Bill brought here from the National Assembly for us to discuss it. It seems as if they disregarded the Bill we passed here and introduced a similar one so as to appear as if they are the ones who come up with the best Bills to benefit Kenyans. ... view
  • 16 Feb 2016 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I thank you for giving me this opportunity to contribute to a “life” matter. I see signs of arrogance coming from the National Assembly directed at this House. We have said these things time and again. This year, we do not need to take anything for granted. We do not need to discuss any Bill that comes from the National Assembly which you have not seen. As you may recall, we have several Bills which were passed in this House and forwarded to the National Assembly and have never been even discussed there yet they bring Bills ... view

  • 9 Feb 2016 in Senate: Thank you Mr. Speaker, Sir. I wish the Chair and the Senators a happy new year. I commend the Senators and especially Sen. Omondi, Sen. Leshore for having supported the Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) since we came into this House. In the past, PWDs have been discriminated all round. I also thank both sides of the House and hope that this will continue for the remainder of time. This has encouraged us to an extent that we pray that in the near future, we shall vie for presidency because it has been proved that Kenyans give support to this House. ... view
  • 5 Nov 2015 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I stand to second the Motion. I thank Sen. (Prof.) Anyang’-Nyong’o because it is in very rare cases we get elite members of the public and Members of Parliament to recognise our input. This shows how committed he is towards matters regarding persons with disability. I, therefore, would not hesitate to commend him for his recognition of some efforts made by individuals with disability. I would like to congratulate Sen. Harold Kipchumba for the good initiative he took to help Kenyans in fighting this vice, polio. If his parents and mine, worked on this when we ... view
  • 29 Oct 2015 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I think the last time El Nino came; we did not know it was El Nino until it was declared as El Nino . This time, I think we are over-excited to receive the El Nino and I believe this is not something which was to happen throughout the country, at the same time. In Central Province, we saw a report that there was a house which collapsed because of the effects of El Nino . Mr. Speaker, Sir, the other question I am asking myself --- view
