29 May 2018 in Senate:
Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I would also like to support and thank my sister, Sen. (Dr.) Gertrude Musuruve, for this brilliant and timely Motion. As Senators have said, I am sure that many people do not know that sign language is not taught. I believe that Kiswahili Language is important because more Kenyans speak it more than English. Old people in the rural areas understand a little bit of Swahili The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposes only. 15 May 2018 in Senate:
Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. You can see that my sound system is not working. I have reported quite a few times. I hope now it will. I take this opportunity to condole with the very able Sen. Kihika and the people of Solai in Nakuru County, for this terrible tragedy. We commend you. You are truly a leader. It is horrifying to watch such a thing happening. Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, for the opportunity to add my voice on this Presidential exposé of the State of the Nation which is well articulated, and, of course, delivered. I congratulate the President for the well thought out Big Four Agenda. The Big Four Agenda is definitely the foundation to changing this country in terms of making it industrialised so that it will offer jobs, have food on the table for each of its citizens, give affordable health care and dignity to its citizens. It is true as Sen. Fahriya said; that Kenya was at par with some ...

Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I was coming to an end. I thank everybody. We all appreciate these four areas of development. We are all now speaking in one voice because of the handshake which we witnessed. I am sure development will be much faster. We will achieve all these goals. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, with those remarks, I beg to support and commend the President.

28 Mar 2018 in Senate:
Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, for the opportunity to also add my voice to this great debate which is happening here in this Senate where there has been so much division and now we see oneness – one Senate, one people with one hope for our country. I also want to take this opportunity and take a cue from my colleagues in congratulating the two great leaders, His Excellency, President Uhuru Kenyatta and the former Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga. They showed us that leadership is thinking about the people you lead and not about self-interest. That is ...

13 Mar 2018 in Senate:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, I thank the Chair of the answer especially now that it is signed by the Cabinet Secretary for Defence because a copy that came before was not signed. However, I am not satisfied with the answer because we had asked specific questions. We saw on television what was going on during the recruitment in some areas and we saw how female candidates were treated. Definitely, there was no equity. One could tell that they were being discriminated against. Some of them were even in tears. So, I do not agree that the recruitment is sensitive to gender. ...
