The challenge is that the Standing Order just says, ‘as soon as is practicable’. There being no time frame on this, based on Standing Order No.1, I thought you had the powers to give guidance on “as soon as is practicable” according to standing Order No. 193; there is no timeframe on this. view

Speaker; I raised this point of order as a matter of last resort; since the Committee is not sitting and I am not a Member chosen to pass communication to the Liaison Committee, then my hands are tied; the Committee is not in a sitting and I have no legal mandate to sit in the Liaison Committee; that is why I sought your guidance on this. view
