That is the total number of votes garnered by each party. For example, UDF might not necessarily have won the presidential election, but their presidential candidate got votes. So, all those are added. Originally in my proposal, I had suggested that we eliminate the presidential vote. However, when the Committee went around, people felt that the President is a father figure; a uniting figure. Therefore, his vote must be safeguarded. view
