19 Aug 2010 in National Assembly:
Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, with all due respect, I am not trying to debate. You know that from previous rulings, a matter is usually stopped from being debated in this House on the sub judice principle depending on what is in court, namely; the subject matter. So, I would like you to allow me to mention that the purpose of my Statement was not in respect of the subject matter that she has brought before the House, with your permission.

On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I rise on two points of order. So, I request that she indicates when she is going to issue that particular Ministerial Statement on Butali Sugar Company.

18 Aug 2010 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, may I request that you consider the Ministerial Statement to be issued tomorrow because on Tuesday and Wednesday, we shall be away in Kitale with the Committee on Lands? We are looking at the issue of settlement of squatters. That is a petition which I had brought before the House. So, I request that either the Ministerial Statement comes tomorrow or on Thursday next week.

18 Aug 2010 in National Assembly:
On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. My next point of order is a request for a Ministerial Statement from the Minister in for Medical Services. This is in respect of the new enhanced National Hospital Insurance Fund rates charged on contributors. I would like the following issues to be clarified: (i) What was the scientific basis for raising by 600 per cent to Kshs2,000 for those in the upper income bracket and what are the accruing rebates in NHIF accredited hospitals? (ii) Did the Minister make any consultations with stake holders, for example, COTU, Federation of Kenya ...
