  • 13 Jun 2018 in National Assembly: What am I supporting? Anyway, thank you Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. The Chairman of the BAC is requesting for support. This is a very important process. We want to support the Departmental Committee on Energy. They have done a good job. Not only the Departmental Committee on Energy but also the BAC. view
  • 13 Jun 2018 in National Assembly: As we have raised serious concerns, energy is a key thing; it is a key enabler. Anywhere we go in our constituencies, one of the key issues we are told is: “ Mheshimiwa, I do not have power.” It is important we give them this money and hope it will be utilised for the good of the citizens. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. view
  • 11 Apr 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity to contribute on the Energy Bill. Energy is a key component of driving our economy especially as we move towards the Vision 2030, which we have all embraced as Kenyans. First, I would like to congratulate the Departmental Committee on Energy led by my colleague, Hon. Gikaria, who despite the very short period they had, they have come up with a very comprehensive Bill that we now seek to pass in this House today. As we progress, we would like to see that Kenyans benefit from the natural resources ... view

  • 27 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker, for allowing me to contribute. The issue that has been raised by the Honourable Member for Moiben touches on the backyard where I come from and on the people that I represent in this House. It is sad that year in, year out, the farmer who feeds this nation is always crying for payment. We need to find a permanent solution to this problem. As we speak, we thank the Government for the subsidised fertiliser, but we also urge it to get its act right. Somebody somewhere is sleeping or slept on the job because ... view

  • 14 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: When I listen to our brothers from the minority side, they seem to be having issues, which should be addressed at their Parliamentary Group (PG) meetings and not on the Floor of this House. One of the issues is why some of their principals were not aware or invited to the meeting. What we should be discussing now is about embracing unity of purpose which has brought together His Excellency the President and Raila Amollo Odinga. I want to congratulate them because each one of them has swallowed their pride and decided that for the good of Kenya, we need ... view
  • 14 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: I toured my constituency the other day and I spoke to the great people of Soy. I engaged members of the public and told them that Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta came together and shook hands. I asked them why they would want to fight each other and even burn each other’s houses or insult each other. Apparently, there are those who could not greet each other because of either supporting Raila or Uhuru. Yet, if Uhuru or Raila was to land in your constituency or village, none of them will know you. They will not even know the difference ... view
  • 14 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: I want to congratulate His Excellency the Deputy President, William Ruto, because he embraced this unity between the President and the Right Hon. Raila Odinga. I want to call on the other principals in NASA, whether they knew about it or not, to do the same. The boat has sailed and they should embrace the unity and move on. • 14 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: not told, consulted or should have been there. I request all Kenyans and especially those on social media to be very careful with what they post regarding what President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga discussed because the details are not yet out. Therefore, for the good of Kenya, we will always support them. view
