  • 22 Feb 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, since the matter involves another 450 families, could the Assistant Minister consider cancelling those title deeds as the Ministry looks into the matter? This is the fourth family to be evicted. view
  • 22 Feb 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise to ask for a Ministerial Statement from the Minister in charge of environment. I would like him to explain what has caused the death of fish in Athi River, especially the section that is in Yatta Constituency over the last one week. In the Statement, I wish the Minister to clarify the measures the Government is taking to reduce pollution in Athi River. What is the Government doing to alert residents not to eat the dead fish? What action is the Government taking to ensure that raw sewage from Nairobi and Thika towns does not ... view
  • 22 Feb 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources. view
  • 17 Feb 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I wish to raise a point of order, first, on the issue of the Minister tabling an interim report in the House, whether it is acceptable as an interim report. I say so, because an interim report should be something temporary, provisional and not definite. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I might wish to refer to your own ruling when you were on the Chair, you did mention and I quote:- “Order, hon. Members. This matter must rest now. The hon. Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security has assured the House ... view
  • 17 Feb 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, these are dated 22nd December, 2010. view
  • 17 Feb 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I want to seek guidance. If he goes on that way, he will be making the same mistake, and the Government will not be able to investigate the matter. In this document, it is true that there are daughters and sons of Ministers. I am asking the Chair if it is asking the Minister to go ahead and name these family members here. view
  • 17 Feb 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the question here is, if hon. Members claimed that they were mentioned before investigations were done--- view
  • 17 Feb 2011 in National Assembly: I stand corrected, Mr. Speaker, Sir. view
  • 16 Feb 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, one of the problems we have is when people pass on the funeral arrangements take too long. Is there a policy by the Government to encourage people to dispose of their departed family members and friends as fast as possible as opposed to keeping the body for one or two weeks in mortuaries, so that this problem does not cost a lot of money? view
  • 16 Feb 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I do not come from Nairobi, but Starehe Boys School and Centre is obviously not in Westlands Constituency or Westlands District, but in Starehe Constituency and Starehe District. In my constituency, there is no such a thing as Machakos Girls. Machakos Girls is in Machakos Town Constituency and Machakos District. Tala High School is not in Kathiani Constituency, but in Kangundo District. If these are the errors we can just see at a short glaze, obviously, this list is inaccurate and misleading. view
