  • 18 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I do not know whether you heard the Assistant Minister say that they are dealing with these two companies because there are specific court orders to that effect. I am not a lawyer but I know very well that there is no court or law which can force you to trade with somebody you do not want. So, could the Assistant Minister table that court ruling because there is nowhere in the world where you can be instructed by the courts to continue trading with this person if you do not want? view

They denied the common men in Job Groups "A" - "L" this allowance. Does the Minister believe that the decision to pay only themselves and ignore those in Job Groups "A" - "L" is right? view
  • 17 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, could the Minister give us a timeframe within which the Government will start paying the junior civil servants commuter allowance? view
  • 12 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I rose last week to ask the Chair to allow us to hold a Kamukunji and the ruling of the Chair was that I talk to the Government Whips which I did and nothing has been forthcoming. For that reason, I wish also to ask for your guidance regarding rulings which also came from the same Chair. I wish not to have raised this in front of a camera but--- view

  • 11 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, when I heard the Minister talk, one can think he is from the Central Province. Northern Kenya is a very big area. I would have expected the Minister to say that he is going to look for money from the Government. That is because he is in the Government. Why can you not look for money in the Government to set up offices in that area? Even from Wajir to Garissa is a very long distance. view
  • 10 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, not far away, we have Yatta Health Centre in Yatta Constituency. Although there are doctors, there is no operating theatre. What is the Ministry doing to ensure that district hospitals have theatres and other necessary facilities? view
