  • 2 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, a majority of Members of this House have a lot of confidence in the Office of the Prime Minister and believe that the Prime Minister himself can answer questions in the House. Therefore, my plea to the Chair is to request Members who are sitting on this side who are attempting to answer questions on behalf of the Prime Minister--- We ourselves on this side have a lot of confidence. We feel he can answer those questions. He is a seasoned politician! My plea to the Chair is to tell some Members to relax. The Prime Minister ... view
  • 2 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I withdraw and apologize to Mr. Mbadi. I should have only stated Mr. Ababu Namwamba. We have confidence in the Right hon. Prime Minister. He can answer questions. However, Members in the Back Bench should not be the ones purporting to want to answer questions on behalf of the Prime Minister. It is not acceptable. view
  • 1 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: asked the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security:- (a) why there are no female cells at Yatta Police Station and when the Government will construct one; and, (b) why there is no Police Dog Unit in the entire Yatta District despite frequent thefts, burglaries and robberies and when the unit will be established. view
  • 27 Oct 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I do not know whether you heard what the Minister said. He said that this is the best hotel. In many cases, this Minister acts as if he is representing the Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE) as opposed to representing the workers. Is the Minister in order to mislead the House that this is the best hotel in terms of managing and handling employees? view
  • 27 Oct 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, when in fact, there are very many complaints about the management favouring the expatriates and mistreating local employees. view
  • 26 Oct 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. This House is governed by Standing Orders and practices. About a month ago, when we were dealing with the issue of Mr. Wetangula, the Government side introduced a new principle. The principle was that where a decision has been made by one of the principals, then only the other principal can come and respond. Because of that, the Government has dilly-dallied with the issue of Mr. Wetangula’s appointment for long. So, since the issue we are dealing with here falls under KKV, where decisions were made by the principals--- This is the ... view
  • 26 Oct 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. Is the Assistant Minister in order to say that certain films are not banned? Is that the reason why they are being sold on the streets? There are pornographic videos being sold on the streets, and the Assistant Minister is telling us that they are actually not banned. view
  • 19 Oct 2011 in National Assembly: asked the Vice President and Minister for Home Affairs:- (a) what justification the Kenya Prison Service had to recruit professionals from outside into the service despite having officers with the same qualifications within its ranks, (b) why the Prison Service changed their earlier signal dated 13th May, 2010 requesting serving professionals to apply; and, (c) whether he could provide a list of all the serving officers who applied for the jobs, indicating their respective academic and professional qualifications as well as similar details of those who were recruited from outside the service. view
  • 19 Oct 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. This is the fourth time. Last week, it was deferred, it was brought in today. It appears that the Government is putting its business out there, leaving its priority to the business of this House. It seems it has become a habit of the Government. view
  • 19 Oct 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, since I have the answer here, is there any Minister willing to read it? If they are not willing, you can allow one of my good friends to read for me--- view
