It is unfortunate that the legal team or the presidential advisors advised him to submit a name that was not shortlisted for approval by Parliament. This is actually looking down upon us because we do not expect that people who have sworn to defend the Constitution will come around and start to trample upon that Constitution. I have known him for quite some time and the last time I was with him in Mombasa was on Friday. We were debating and discussing matters pertaining to the budget of this country. He gave his humble contribution and good thoughts. It was saddening when on Saturday morning, I heard that hon. Muchai was no more.   • 19 Nov 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Speaker, for giving me this chance to send my condolences to the family of the late Senator Kajwang’. I got to know the Senator early in 1993 when I was doing my internship. He was kind to junior lawyers. He held our brief and I also got to know him later in life when I was a politician. We have lost an astute politician, a good lawyer and a great man. My heartfelt condolences to the family. view
