Mr. Temporary Chairperson, Sir, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 2 of the Bill be amended by deleting the definition of the word “forest owner” and substituting therefore the new definition- “forest owner” means- (a) in the case of a public forest, the government as defined in article 62(1)(g) of the Constitution; (b) in the case of a community forest, the community as defined in article 63 of the Constitution; and (c) in the case of a private forest, the registered owner of the land as defined in article 64 of the Constitution.
