  • 16 Feb 2016 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Chairperson, Sir, now that there is no objection to deleting that, I have no problem. I support Sen. Mutula Kilonzo Jnr.’s argument. The requirement to have the EACC give letters is completely unnecessary. For the same reason, even this requirement to attach a clearance certificate from the KRA is unnecessary. I do not know why we are going this direction because these institutions are there to do their work. We will not do their work yet they exist. We are imposing unnecessary impediments to people who are seeking appointments to the county assemblies. view
