Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, once enacted into law, this Bill will bring us much closer to achieving our Vision 2030. It is a very fundamental Bill. We all acknowledge the fact that we have many requirements in this country. We all look forward to raising finances locally, and particularly through taxation. Finances raised through taxes and so on are hardly enough to meet our requirements. Therefore, this is the way forward which we have desired for a long time. Indeed, most of the materials utilized in the refurbishment were locally sourced with the exception of those related to the electronic systems. I am particularly pleased to report that the high quality seats in the Chamber have been manufactured and installed by our own Prisons Industries, again, utilizing and enhancing skills and talents available locally this time from within the country’s correctional institutions.
