Agriculture, health, Early Childhood Education Centres (ECDEs), TIVET, water, among others, are devolved functions. Let me tell you about roads. The Governor of Kiambu appeared before the Senate sometime back and complained about thousands of kilometres under county governments, but no funds are allocated. Marsabit is one of the second-largest counties in this Republic. Moving from Ileret to Marsabit can take three days because there are no roads. Tulitumia masaa mengi kukubaliana na upande huo mwengine wa National Assembly kuhakikisha kwamba kaunti zinapata pesa zinazohitajika. Tulikuwa na Kshs385 bilioni miaka iliyopita. • 22 May 2024 in Senate: Je, hiyo ni njama ya Serikali ya Kenya kutuweka sisi nje ama pia sisi tuna haki ya kupewa fidia ya ng’ombe, mbuzi na ngamia tulizopoteza? Kuna AFC ambayo imewapa watu wa kwetu mikopo. Hiyo mikopo imepeanwa kwa sababu kulipokuwa na kiangazi 2019/2020 na 2022/2023 ng’ombe, ngamia na mbuzi walikufa sana.
