Thank you, Hon. Speaker. Let me join my colleagues in congratulating our ranking Member, Hon. Olago Aluoch, for the commendation. I thank the Head of State for recognising this son of the soil. When I joined Parliament, I met Hon. Olago Aluoch. In my observation, he does not just contribute to anything that comes by. He researches well and has been very instrumental in guiding us in this House, especially where legal issues are concerned. He chips in on very complicated issues. Sometimes he comes in handy to help you, Hon. Speaker, as you make some of your rulings. Congratulations, ...

Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to contribute to this Report, which I reject from the onset. Without much ado, we should not be dwelling on this issue, if it has been proven that Mr. John Ogallo is not tax compliant. He was made aware that he was to be appointed for this position. It therefore means, that if he would not have been nominated, he would not have filed his tax returns. He decided to file his tax returns so that he can qualify for the job. If it was a matter of integrity, why was ...

Hon. Speaker, when you go for other interviews such as in the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) or any other institution, they award marks for your physical appearance. For instance, the interviewers award marks on how you are dressed, your mannerism and the way you respond to questions. When you do an interview of this magnitude and you are about 12,000 kilometres away, then you are said to be compliant… I oppose, Hon. Speaker. If he was patriotic enough he would have come directly to Kenya and faced the panellists. Apparently, he is yet to come to Kenya. He is waiting ...

We have many Kenyans who are qualified for this job, who are patriotic, who are within the country and are ready to diligently work for this country. So let Mr. Ogallo stay wherever he is and let us pick another Kenyan who is ready to serve the country from within.

Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I rise to seek your guidance. On 24th September 2020, I presented a Petition to the Departmental Committee on Agriculture and Livestock. Whenever we near recess, they seek an extension. This trend has gone on for some time and up to now, I have not received the report from the Committee. The people of my constituency sent that Petition to me so that they could get assistance from this House. I would like to request, if possible, through your guidance, if the Chairperson could be requested to table that report on Tuesday.

Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to pass my condolences to the family of great fallen leader. I want to pass my condolences and those of Igembe Central to the family of the late President Hon. Mwai Kibaki. I eulogise this great leader who has just left us. The late President Mwai Kibaki was not just a political leader but he was also a manager. In whatever he did, he managed it quite well. We are not praising Mwai Kibaki only for his 10 years as a President, but since he began to be a leader in ...

member of the party and not in active politics. I had an interaction with him in a certain hotel where we shared a meal together with other leaders. In him I saw a great man. When he did not make it to be the President in the early 90s, it was unfortunate for this country. If he were to be the President immediately after the repeal of Section 2A of the old Constitution, thereby making Kenya a multi-party state, he could have taken us many miles ahead. Unfortunately, he came at the helm of leadership after having an accident and ...
