6 Mar 2014 in Senate:
Thank you very much, Madam Temporary Speaker, for allowing me to contribute in support of this Motion which was moved by a very well-versed, Sen. Dullo, from Isiolo. Madam Temporary Speaker, I am happy that, at least, this is coming from a lady who is in her 30s. She must have gone through the school drama society and won several awards for her to be where she is now in America. In Kenya, we have such talents in schools. These ladies and gentlemen perform very well. Much as we find students performing very well in drama, Science congress and music ...

4 Mar 2014 in Senate:
Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. While I support the amendment in totality, I would like to draw the parallelism of this situation to America. When America became independent on Tuesday, 4th July, 1776, everybody was very happy to see it happen. Several years later, there was an attempt to divide America into two; the Southern confederacy and the Northern confederacy. That was the beginning of the civil war that took place after that. 27 Feb 2014 in Senate:
Thank you Mr. Speaker, Sir for allowing me to contribute in support of the work done by the Committee which has already presented its Report this afternoon for discussion and adoption. I am, personally, very happy that some of the issues covered here have answered my prayers. I have been praying that the Committee on Education, Information, Communication and Technology is split. It has taken almost one year for this prayer to be answered. As it is written in the Bible, God can answer a prayer in one day, after a month, after two years or it can even take ...

26 Feb 2014 in Senate:
Thank you Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, for giving me this chance to contribute to this very important Motion and the Report by the Committee on Energy, Roads and Transportation. I first want to take time to congratulate them because they have done a good job. They should continue doing the same in future. The Committee has done this Report, it has been tabled and we are now discussing it for adoption. We want other committees to do the same so that we are informed of what is happening. I hope that this will be an eye opener to many other ...

of 1970. This can happen and can also affect Kenya as an oil and fuel producing country. So, coming to geothermal, the production of this can be very good and can be increased. Its uses are also varied. Getting to geothermal and where it is generated, there is Olkaria and Hells Gate. There are also other areas like Eburu Hills where pyrethrum is grown. Geothermal power is used locally to dry pyrethrum so that it is sold as pyrethrin to earn The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposes only. 25 Feb 2014 in Senate:
Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for allowing me to contribute to this Motion. I support the Motion and also wish the Members luck in this year’s calendar. Mr. Speaker, Sir, all the same, it has been expressed by many other Senators that, much as we agree that the team is complete and worked very well, it is also good to ensure that if you have heifers and some get old, you introduce others in the herd. You can phase out two Members and introduce two new Members. In the following year, you get two more coming in. I think that, ...
