Temporary Deputy Speaker, I second this Report of the Public Accounts Committee which has touched on the examination of audited accounts of various commissions, as the Chairman has stated. As has already mentioned by the Chairman, the Committee has taken the unprecedented measure of considering audited accounts for the six agencies. This touches on the 2015/2016 Financial Year as a way of clearing the backlog of reports. By and large, the Committee noted that accounting officers that appeared before the Committee presented satisfactory explanations on resolutions to issues raised in audit queries. As we all know, teachers in this troubled North Eastern region have a worrying experience. They actually desperately need their jobs yet work is becoming a balance between life and death. If you look at the region, it is risking lagging behind because of the issues that they always face about the teaching fraternity. We are heading to a situation where we will say everybody for himself in North Eastern. As a profession, you should arm the professional so that they are able to give the service at peace. I do not know who they are being loyal to when they come here briefly and go away to listen to Baba and go to the streets to demonstrate, yet he talked about loyalty. Is he in order? view
