However, the Ministry is aware that it has been proposed as the district hospital for the newly created Nzauni District. It has not been operationalized to match its new status because no budgetary provisions have so far been made to upgrade health institutions in the newly created districts. view
  • 11 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: (b) The Ministry has included upgrading of Matiliku Health Centre and similar facilities in all newly created districts in its next Medium-Term Expenditure Plan covering three financial years from 2009/2010 to 2011/2012. Depending on future levels of funding from Treasury, the Ministry plans to progressively upgrade the facility to a district hospital within that period. view
