  • 16 Jun 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, considering the fact that the student died after being canned and having been in hospital for ten days, it is possible that during the ten days she must have been attacked by malaria while in hospital. She could also have developed other complications. However, what triggered this sickness is the caning. This is because she was well in the morning. It is after receiving strokes of the cane that she did not return to school. Therefore, the teacher was responsible for accelerating any illness that she had. view
  • 6 Apr 2010 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Education:- (a) whether he could confirm that a student, Georgina Sophie Nyasi, of Mwanyambo Primary School in Voi Constituency died after a teacher subjected her to corporal punishment; (b) whether the Ministry conducted any investigations into the death and, if so, what were the findings; and, (c) what action he has taken against the teacher, considering that corporal punishment has been outlawed in schools. view

  • 25 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Asante Bw.
  • 25 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Bw.
Naonelea, sitapoteza wakati mrefu. Tukiangalia ... view

  • 9 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, Maseno University teaches environmental management. I am wondering, if this institution offers this course, what kind of teaching are they passing to the students? They should be the first ones to conserve the environment by not discharging sewage into the river which is used by people downstream. view
