Why did they not start the process of compensating the people who are affected? Why did they have to wait until now to wake up and say that they will move the people first and compensate them later? view
• 4 Dec 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. Is it in order for the Assistant Minister to avoid this question? This is a very straightforward question. We are patiently waiting for him to tell us that one machine serves two to three stations. If it is in a station for 15 days, another will be waiting for another 15 days. What is he going to do to compensate for those lost 15 days? He does not have a proper answer. Why can he not go and come back with a proper answer tomorrow? view

I want to seek clarification with regard to university students registration because there are about 3,000 from my constituency. They are based in various universities in this country. They do not reside in those towns where they are studying. If they are allowed to register next to the colleges then, obviously, during voting time, they will not be able to vote because that time will find them at home. • 21 Nov 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I am really shocked at the Assistant Minister’s answer because in August I brought a similar Question, and the Ministry responded by saying that the road had already been awarded for repairs at a cost of about Kshs38 million; again they had already awarded another firm a contract to do a design at a cost of about Kshs48 million and the Assistant Minister said that the repairs on this road would start in the second quarter of this financial year.
