  • 7 Sep 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. We are running out of time and some of us have not contributed. Can we reduce the time of contribution maybe to two minutes? view
  • 7 Sep 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. Is the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance in order to keep on lamenting here while we know that Grand Regency Hotel was sold here at a throw away price? That hotel could have been sold at Kshs5 billion to raise the money. view
  • 6 Sep 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the issue of insecurity is very serious in this country. It covers all the markets from Migori, Rongo, Katito and Sondu in my constituency and almost every other place. This is scaring away investors who would actually want to invest in those areas and in turn offer jobs to our people. Could the Minister come out very clearly on how he wants to deal with this situation, so that people are not murdered day and night? view

  • 1 Sep 2011 in National Assembly: (a) whether he is aware that Katito- Kendu Bay Road has developed serious gaping holes just a few years after re-construction, view
  • 1 Sep 2011 in National Assembly: (b) how much was allocated for the recent re-construction of the road, whether the entire budget allocation was spent and if he could table the details of works and specifications given to the contractor; and, view
  • 1 Sep 2011 in National Assembly: (c) what measures he will take to ensure the reconstruction works are re-done. view
  • 25 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I also have a road by the name Sondu-Kusa Road D218 which has not been tarmacked for quite a number of years despite several promises. Could the Assistant Minister tell us the criteria they use to identify the road that they are supposed to tarmac? We have realized that in some areas even roads classified “E” have already been tarmacked. view
  • 24 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Agriculture:- (a) whether she is aware of the serious soil erosion which is rampant in Nyakach Constituency; and, (b) when the Ministry will revive the construction of gabions to control soil erosion and avail funding for it. view
  • 24 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. The brief answer has not addressed the issue. That is a very serious issue. Soil erosion in Nyakach, particularly in one area called Kat Kodeyo, had only one front in 1984. Right now, it has four fronts. That shows that the magnitude is very serious. Could the Assistant Minister tell me when the programme he is talking about will start? view
