  • 17 May 2007 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. This Bill has been properly interrogated. There is a lot of repetition on this debate from all the speakers. Could you give a ruling so that the Mover is given chance to respond? view
  • 16 May 2007 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Is the Assistant Minister in order to table Papers that he has not circulated? This morning, he came and tabled Papers for Utalii College and the Chair demanded production of those Papers. He has done the same thing. Where are those Papers? Is he in order to mislead this House? view
  • 16 May 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister's answer is very discouraging, 1388 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES May 16, 2007 particularly when it comes to aviation. Aviation is not motor racing. I am discouraged by that answer! Kisumu Airport is a Class I airport. It is not a Class III airport. We should not be talking about potholes, especially when we think about the speed at which an aircraft takes off. What guarantee is the Government giving us that the pilot in the cockpit and the passengers are safe? view
  • 16 May 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, when you look at the airspace, particularly the air transport within the local enterprise of Kenya, it is Kenya Airways that has taken the larger share. It has also prevented the Kenya Wildlife Service, whose transportation is even used by Ministers here. Could the Assistant Minister consider also licensing KWS as a passenger carrier, so that they can also use the airspace for tourism? view
  • 16 May 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister seems to be unaware of what happens with the vendors in the streets of Nairobi and other towns. We are talking about people who sell vegetables whose income cannot rise above Kshs50. How do they account for the money that is collected every day when we know that the municipal askaris --- view
  • 16 May 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, collection of revenue is a very important function of the Government. To avoid corruption, why can this Assistant Minister not order municipalities a uniform collection of revenue every month instead of collecting the cess on a daily basis and yet most of these vendors cannot earn more than Kshs50 a day? view
  • 16 May 2007 in National Assembly: Bw. Nyerere, Bw. Obote na Bw. Kenyatta, ilikuwa ... view
  • 16 May 2007 in National Assembly: Bw. ... view

  • 15 May 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister has given us a comprehensive answer. Most of our students going overseas have scholarships windows. Do we have scholarship windows in our local universities like the ones overseas? view
