Senator Dullo is the current Deputy Majority Leader of the Senate. She is the first elected woman Senator for Isiolo County. At 22 years she made history by serving as the first female District Officer from the Borana Community.

Mr. Temporary Chairman, Sir, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 35 of the Bill be deleted. The justification according to the committee is that this is in line with the principle of reducing the public wage bill. Clause 35 seeks to amend the Act so as to establish the Alcohol Drinks Promotion Regulation Committee. We are proposing to remove that.

Mr. Speaker, Sir, I appreciate the issues raised by Sen. (Prof.) Lonyangapuo. First and foremost, I would like to say that as a Committee we rely on the information given by the relevant department. That is what I have in this answer. The Statement said that land had already been identified in Lamut and Perkeye areas and construction will be done once the funds are available. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I may not be able to answer about the funds that Sen. (Prof.) Lonyangapuo is asking because it is something that requires policies and legislations that are to be put in place. At the end of my response to his issues, I said that it is important if the Senator and I could sit together, discuss and see how we can resolve the issues that are affecting that particular region.
