The state of healthcare in this country has reached crisis levels. The situation is so bad in some counties that hospitals have become death traps for patients. I also want to take this opportunity to congratulate my colleague, the Senator for Vihiga County, for bringing this Statement on the state of the Chavakali-Kapsabet Road. The state of that road speaks volumes about the state of many other roads in this country. One of the things that this House may want to deal with is the cost of doing the roads in this country, which has been deliberately exaggerated.
