  • 19 Apr 2007 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. In fact, it has also been proved that raw sewage and industrial waste, which get discharged into Lake Victoria, also serve as fertilizer for the weed. The weed actually feeds on them, causing it to increase. So, could the Assistant Minister also consider making sure that discharge of industrial waste into the lake is also controlled? view

Let us not give the public the bad impression that Mungiki is being supported by the Government and that, that is how they are able to terrorise the ... view
  • 7 Dec 2006 in National Assembly: asked the Minister of State for Administration and National Security:- (a) whether he is aware that Kadibo Division, which is part of Nyando Constituency in Nyando District is administered under Kisumu District with the District Officer and chiefs reporting to the Kisumu District Commissioner while the councillors report to Nyando County Council; (b) what the rationale for this arrangement is; and, (c) what steps will be taken to correct the anomaly. view
  • 22 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Energy:- (a) whether he is aware that the Ministry has not been issuing electricians' licences for the last two years; and, (b) since the licences are necessary for those intending to be electrical contractors, what plans the Ministry has to issue them. view
  • 22 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, while appreciating the fact that the Ministry will start issuing the licences with effect from January 2007, to the electricians' without these licences they cannot connect undertake their job. That means denying them a social livelihood. Did the Ministry have to wait for two years to start issuing the licences? view
  • 22 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I have no further question to ask. I would only like to appeal to the Assistant Minister to make sure that with effect from January, 2007, the licences are issued to the deserving cases. view
