  • 2 Jun 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, thank you for giving this chance. view
  • 2 Jun 2009 in National Assembly: I would like the Minister to also consider Eastlands which has had so many fires. Plots meant for fire stations in Eastlands have also been grabbed. There is one plot meant for a fire station along Outering Road. It has been grabbed. There is also another plot on Enterprise Road which is being fenced off right now. It was meant for a fire station. view
  • 20 May 2009 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. Some hon. Members in this House have a habit of assuming that for hon. Members to appear to be speaking the right things in this House, they must be seen first. What Dr. Khalwale is doing right now is taking us backwards. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance has presented the Supplementary Appropriation Bill, everybody is happy and he is not happy because he thinks that he should have been seen first. That is taking us backwards! view
  • 20 May 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, my point of order is that what he is telling us right now is not in order because we are so far happy with what the Minister has presented. view
  • 13 May 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the consumption of illicit brews is taking a big toll on our youth in Central Kenya and, in fact, most parts of the country. I am glad to hear that there were some steps taken against the chiefs and assistant chiefs. I wish the Assistant Minister could give a blanket order to all the chiefs and assistant chiefs to make sure that the type of illicit brews that are in their areas are not hazardous to health. Some of the brews that are found in my Embakasi Constituency are hazardous to health. I do not know ... view
  • 13 May 2009 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker. We have some hon. Members who are members of that Committee. I think it is high time that those hon. Members who are not in that Committee could be given a chance to contribute to the Motion. Otherwise, some of the people who are now rising up like Mr. Mbadi--- view
  • 13 May 2009 in National Assembly: Oh! He is not a Member? view
  • 7 May 2009 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Before this Minister took over the Ministry, there was a policy at KNH whereby the chiefs could sign for those people who are poor and their bodies could be released. There was a very clear policy before this Minister took over. Is it in order for him to have abolished that policy which was helping Kenyans? view
  • 24 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I rise to support the Motion. First, I would like to commend the Chair for the way it has been running the affairs of Parliament. view
  • 24 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: I would also like to register some disappointment with the way some of the Ministers have been contradicting themselves in public. Just last weekend, some Ministers, who had participated in that big ceremony that was held at the Kenya International Conference Centre (KICC) to launch the Nairobi Metropolitan Development plan, went to Kitengela to disown the same function they had attended at the KICC. I expected Ministers to discuss such issues in the Cabinet, but not in public. Such behaviour leaves our population in a very confused state. Right now, if you go around Nairobi, you will learn so many ... view
