  • 9 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me the opportunity. I agree with what my friend has said and let us not be emotional. The positivity rate is low at zero-point something per cent but it can go up. According to me, we should keep the protocols. I remember one time they said that the positivity rate was very low but when His Excellency the President went to Kisumu, we saw what happened. • 9 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: The whole nation is looking at us. So, let us not be emotional. We come from different places. We should keep the protocols as we wait. Hon. Speaker, I request you look at this from the technical point of view. I am an economist and do not know anything about diseases. Let the technical team advise you because the whole world is looking at us and if we make a mistake, we will be the ones to be blamed. So, let us keep the protocols. Thank you. view
  • 21 Oct 2021 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, thank you for the opportunity. I am sad, as a Kenyan, that our children go to the Middle East. I have two cousins of mine who are not able to call back because those who have hired or taken them are not even allowing them to make a phone call back home. Therefore, Hon. Kabinga, I want you to get hold of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Jointly, let us look at the agents who are sending our children to the Middle East. They should know where each of those workers has gone, because I am told ... view

  • 19 Oct 2021 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I take this opportunity to support this noble Motion. First and foremost, I have worked for Kodak, where I was a regional manager and I served 12 countries, namely, Botswana, South Africa, Lesotho, Seychelles and Mauritius among others. At that time, we had lots of problems connecting to these countries. I was the sales and marketing regional manager for Kodak East Africa in charge of this region. It was very difficult to connect to these countries. For example, if you wanted to go to South Africa, you had to go all the way to Addis Ababa ... view
  • 19 Oct 2021 in National Assembly: quote me, because we are more educated than them. Again, the population in Botswana is not as high as it is here. We are going to have job opportunities for our people. This is something that we have to support. As someone mentioned, we need to move fast and pass this Motion for us to open up these connections. Our country is going to benefit from the same. With those remarks, I support. view

  • 6 Oct 2021 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I rise to support this Motion on the ratification of business between Kenya and the USA. As you know there are many Kenyans in the USA and even the last President’s origin was from Kenya. Therefore, if this ratification is passed by this House, we will have many business opportunities coming up. This is an opportunity we should grab, as the Member who was seconding this Motion has said. We should ratify this as fast as we can, so that we can benefit from this agreement. view
  • 6 Oct 2021 in National Assembly: Kenyans are very aggressive when given an opportunity and this will create more jobs of cargo handling between Kenya and USA, even those in transit from Europe through here. It will offer job opportunities because we have youths and professionals out there looking for jobs. This is a very good agreement which has come at the right time, when our youths are desperately looking for jobs and opportunities. I think we should have passed this like yesterday. view
  • 6 Oct 2021 in National Assembly: As my colleague has simply said, we should support this, so let us move with speed and pass it as fast as we can. Last and not least, connections with the USA means we have an opportunity to learn more and be exposed to developed countries because we are in the third world and they are in the first world. I am sure this gain will have added opportunities and lessons in handling goods directly from the USA or those in transit from European companies. So, we should even vote for it right away, I support. view
