Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, it seems that this Assistant Minister is not very serious about this issue. We all know Kenyans are suffering because of lack of food partly attributed to the effects of soil erosion. Could he tell this House whether Kshs100,000 is sufficient to prevent soil erosion in any part of this country?

You have seen that the Assistant Minister is not even responding to questions. Is he in order to ignore the question that was asked by hon. Imanyara, and also ignore the law?

Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would like to thank the Minister for attempting to answer this Question. West Kano Irrigation Scheme is one of the largest schemes in this country. If it is well maintained and connected to the roads, we will be able to produce enough rice for this country. Since its establishment, the road network in this scheme has been neglected, and the Minister is aware of this.
