12 May 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, it does not really require a Member of Parliament to ask this Question for some action to be taken. As I speak, most of our farmers cannot transport their paddies from the farms even to the stores. Over the years, the Ministry has never done anything. The Minister is saying that she wants to ask her partner; the Minister for Roads, to do something. Since the Minister for Roads is here, could the Minister for Water and Irrigation tell us the time line which she intends to get in touch with the Minister for Roads? Is she ...

12 May 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to let the Vice-President and Minister for Home Affairs know that my aunt lives around the Kodiaga GK Prison. Of late, it has been very difficult because you have really accepted the diversion. Could he inform the House of what plans he has to share with the people living around Kodiaga GK Prison because they cannot get water from Saka River?

11 May 2011 in National Assembly:
On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I would really seek your indulgence with regard to the business of the day. A number of Ministers are not in the House. Could you allow us to take leave and wait for them to come? It has become the habit of all of them to disappear from parliamentary business in the morning? Am I in order to ask you to discipline Ministers who do not want to come to work?

20 Apr 2011 in National Assembly:
On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. You realize that we left our homes this morning to come in the House to deliberate on matters that pertain to Kenya. We need to tackle issues such as the skyrocketing prices of fuel and food. Since we have realized some Ministers are not in the House, would I be in order to seek your indulgence for the Leader of Government Business to tell us whether they are on a go slow?

13 Apr 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I appreciate the list given by the Assistant Minister which contains the beneficiaries from my constituency. It says that 758 people have received money. I have many problems in my constituency. People ask me where the money for older persons is. This is the case and yet in this list we have been given this morning 758 persons have received the money in my constituency. This could have created an impact. Is the Assistant Minister sure that he has given 758 elderly persons in my constituency this money because I have this list here?

6 Apr 2011 in National Assembly:
On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. Is the Minister in order to evade the question asked by Mr. Imanyara? You heard Mr. Imanyara say that these people came from somewhere. They had land somewhere. Why is it difficult for these

30 Mar 2011 in National Assembly:
On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I truly believe that my good friend, the Assistant Minister will come up with a very detailed answer on Tuesday. Lake Victoria is suffering as we speak now. The water hyacinth has really choked the Lake and the business has come to a standstill. The poor fish-mongers cannot get what is entitled to them in terms of fishing in Lake Victoria. The Assistant Minister should give us an answer on Tuesday, next week. We understand that money has already been given for the purpose of removing the water hyacinth. Could she ...
