Madam Temporary Speaker, I am humbled. We are raising pertinent issues in this country which cannot be ignored. I suggest that the relevant agency moves in with speed and ensures that there are bumps on the Lunyerere Bridge for the black spot to become a place where people from Kisumu and Kakamega can economically empower themselves. Thank you for the opportunity.

Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir for giving me this opportunity to add my voice to this Petition. I want to commend the people of Kibra Constituency for coming up with this Petition. The issue of IDP is an issue that we cannot ignore. I support my fellow Senators who have asserted that there is need to intervene and see how they can be resettled. I apologise. Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker. I had to do something to catch your attention after I pressed the button to intercept. I remember when the Bill came to the Floor of the House, I deliberately decided to stay on and make my contributions to it. However, I am surprised that Sen. Mutula Kilonzo Jnr. has not recognised me among those who gave their contributions.

Madam Temporary Speaker, thank you for giving me this opportunity to add my voice to this Motion. I want to start by commending Sen. Mwaura for coming up with this Motion which has come at the right time. I believe that the Senate will ensure it sees the light of day and corruption is brought to an end. Kenya ratified the United Nations Convention with regard to corruption and it was the first country in the world to sign that Convention. If Kenya was the first country to sign that convention in 2003 that signature is fully loaded and we ...

Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, thank you for giving me the opportunity to support the appointment of Sen. Malalah to the Senate Business Committee. Sen. Malalah comes out as a vibrant Senator in this House. He is an inspiration to the youth and is all rounded, in sports and drama. He has taken a number of students to State House and this is encouraging to young leaders who are coming up. He has qualities that need to come up and be nurtured. I beg to support.
