On the issue of investments by the Authority, the funds that have been allocated are for the taxpayers. They should not be able to invest this money, because we will go back the same old good time where money was allocated and no service was provided to the people. This ended with a lot of money going into collapsed banks. So, that should be removed. All the money must be spent as it is received from Treasury. view

In fact, it says “three years.” So, we should go by what hon. Karua said. Then, there must be a role for them, like in the audit, for example, of all the 47 counties, to provide assets and liabilities. • 21 Feb 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Bill says that a report must come to Parliament, but the ICC(?) should actually be the guiding organ, to ensure that they can audit and supervise these people. Then, Parliament should be extension through reports, get actually what they are doing, so that we can implement it. view

All the deployment of our forces in the barracks whether in the Air Force or the Navy are posted regardless of where one comes from. It is all based on making sure the integrity of our forces is clear. That is a very serious allegation that must be withdrawn. view

My reservation is that the broad mission of AMISOM in Somalia has been there for the last four years. Could we have an audit of what they have done to stabilize that country and protect the people of Somalia? By joining AMISOM, we are subjecting our troops to go back to an entity that has no proof of having done anything. I do not think I will agree with that.
