  • 27 Nov 2019 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, I am not empty. I know the reason you are feeling that people are empty is that there is too much excitement around BBI. However, I want to support this Report. It is important that this country plans its things because of the calendar of events. It is noted that the Auditor-General’s time to go home is known. It is unfortunate that his replacement is not planned for. Succession planning for the Auditor-General of this country must be done, reason being if this is not done and reports do not come on time and you realise that this ... view
  • 27 Nov 2019 in National Assembly: when I went to get an answer from a committee over issues to do with water. Reaching there, it is the same scenario that a report had not been signed. I declined to take the answer. The CS himself was not there, maybe, because of good reasons. But because he had not appended his signature to the answer, I did not accept it. So, it is important the Auditor-General be put in office in time so that the work of that office can continue without interruption. It is a big shame that a report is there but it is only ... view
  • 20 Nov 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady. I support the Chair on the amendment. On the ground, when people change the premises for their ECDE schools some are so bad that you cannot even think that anybody’s child can stay there. So, if there is going to be notification and then the schools are checked, that will be very good. I support the amendment and I know it is going to work for our schools. view

  • 30 Oct 2019 in National Assembly: Asante sana Mhe. Spika.

  • 16 Oct 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I want to support the Bill even before contributing. It is high time, as a country and as a Government, we looked into the issue of livestock and livestock products. It is sorrowful to note that farmers in this country face a lot of challenges when it comes to livestock products like hides and skins, milk and even bones. It is high time we looked at how to assist our farmers. I want to talk from the point of view where things have changed. Farmers in the Rift Valley specifically are moving from farming maize ... view
  • 16 Oct 2019 in National Assembly: After talking about the products, we must also ensure the quality of the products. It is important for us, as a nation, to be part of making sure that livestock products are of good quality. Animals should not be given toxic medicines which have not been certified to be healthy for human beings. Up to today, our farmers do not know why they should not give medicines to their animals while milking them and giving the milk to human beings. It is our sole duty to make sure that we teach our farmers, create awareness and make them know that ... view
