On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. Is the hon. Senator in order to say that a year has elapsed and we have done nothing rather than rubbing shoulders?

Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir for allowing me to make my contribution towards this Motion. I want to agree with my fellow Senators who have made their contributions. First and foremost, I want to thank the originator of this Motion, hon. Sen. Wako. Indeed, I have been wondering how this would happen. I thank God because this has been brought to our attention and that we are making our contributions to this Motion. The issue of creating awareness to the public especially the common citizen at the local level is very critical and timely. The marginalised groups like the ...

Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker. I support this Motion and thank the Mover, Sen. Fatuma, for bringing it. That is an indication that, for sure, the strength of a woman is very important. Madam Speaker, as we celebrate the international day of women, Kenyan people will have every reason to celebrate and even feel happier, because this is our year and our own has made it. It is time to appreciate the strength of a young lady, Ms. Lupita Nyong’o. I cannot forget to thank God for her. This is because it is through God that her parents were touched ...

Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, my point of order is: Why is it that we are saying that we should not mention names? If the perpetrator is still alive, why do we want to protect that perpetrator?

Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Today, I am so happy that you are able to call out all my three names. Thank you so much, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for giving me this opportunity to contribute towards this very important Motion; and I want to support it because for sure Kenyans are incurring a lot of expenses when it comes to power, especially for the rural schools. Most rural schools are not able to carry out their lessons during odd hours, like the evening lessons, simply because they do not have electricity. I think if this Report is adopted, it is ...

Thank you, Mr. Speaker, for giving me this opportunity. I want to support this Motion. First, I want to thank the Embu MCAs for coming out as real representatives of the people who elected them. They recognized and made sure that they looked at issues that affect the citizens of Embu County. I support this Motion by, sincerely, observing that the Embu Governor acted sarcastic in his responses by behaving as if he could not offer solutions to the people who seek services from him. He cannot understand the issues that are within, then the people of Embu County must ...

On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I want to request Sen. Daisy to apologize because we are dealing with a matter that came from the MCAs. If the MCAs came up with issues that are affecting the common citizen, and she is treating them as petty things, is she in order?
